Frequently asked questions

Does Accounter lodge BAS or run Single Touch Payroll?

No. Accounter does not lodge BAS and does not run STP. It converts PDF bank statements into CSV or Excel so the figures are ready to work from. Any GST or BAS figure you derive from them is an estimate only. Lodge through the ATO or a registered BAS or tax agent.

Can I import the converted file straight into MYOB?

MYOB imports bank files only as OFX, QFX or QIF, never CSV. Accounter exports CSV and Excel, so a CSV is not a direct MYOB bank-file import. TODO(juvan): confirm against MYOB help, and whether OFX export is planned, before saying more.

Are amounts shown in Australian dollars?

Converted figures are taken as printed on the statement, so an AUD statement stays in AUD. Accounter does not convert currencies. TODO(juvan): confirm AUD statement handling (dates, A$ amounts) against real AU statements.

Which Australian banks are supported?

TODO(juvan): there is no verified list of supported Australian banks yet. Upload a statement and check the result before relying on it.
