ANZ Statement to Excel

Upload a readable ANZ PDF statement, review the extracted rows, check the running balance, and export CSV for Excel.

Upload a statement

Create a free account to upload a PDF and download your CSV.

If we can't read a page, you're not charged for it.

How to export your ANZ statement

  1. Download the ANZ statement as a PDF from your online banking (use a text PDF, not a photo or scan).
  2. Upload the PDF to the Accounter bank statement converter.
  3. Review the extracted rows and run the balance check against your statement.
  4. Export CSV and open it in Excel, or prepare it for your accounting software.

Balance check

Each row balance should equal the previous balance plus the row amount. Illustrative figures below (invented, not from a real statement). Opening balance: $12,500.00.

ANZ statement FAQ

Can Accounter convert an ANZ PDF statement to Excel?+

Accounter attempts readable PDF statements and gives you reviewable CSV rows that open in Excel. Compare the rows with your original PDF before relying on them.

Does Accounter lodge my BAS?+

No. Accounter does not lodge BAS and does not run STP (Single Touch Payroll). Any GST figure is an estimate only. Lodge through the ATO or your registered tax or BAS agent.

Can I import the result into MYOB?+

MYOB imports bank files only as OFX, QFX or QIF, never CSV. A CSV from Accounter cannot be imported into MYOB directly.

How do I know the extracted rows are right?+

Run the balance check: the opening balance plus every credit minus every debit should equal the closing balance, and each row balance should follow from the one above it.

Which currency are amounts in?+

Amounts are shown as printed on your statement. ANZ operates in Australia and New Zealand, so confirm the account currency on the statement. Examples on this page use AUD.
